Chalea is excited to be a part of a community that not only teaches dance, but encourages dancers to be the best version of themselves and help others around them. She learned to love dance from her mother at an early age. She began by learning hip-hop, jazz, and tap, but found her passion for ballroom dancing when she was in 8th grade. She joined the her Junior High and High School swing teams shortly after. Chalea danced jazz for a short time while studying at BYU-Idaho in Rexburg, Idaho.
Along with dancing, Chalea enjoys spending time with her husband, exploring new places, painting, and anything craft related. Her goals include helping her students be the best they can be, both inside and outside the studio, and helping them realize ballroom is not just an 'old person's dance style.
